Didjeridu Yidaki Didgeridoo Aborigine Large 51" 131 cm Long Eucalyptus Crebra Ironbark Pre-1950 Australia

  • Vintage large Didjeridu Yidaki Didgeridoo from the Aborigines in Australia.
  • From Arnhem Land in Australia but we don't know the precise area, maker or clan.
  • The wood used for the didgeridoo is Eucalyptus crebra , commonly called Ironbark, dense, close grained and very hard.
  • Interior color is a deep red-brown.
  • All around exterior painting with traditional ochres depicting tribal fish totems.
  • There are four sections of 2 fish each, separated by bands of black and white.
  • The fish in each section alternate direction with the section above and below; this makes the fish seem to be swimming and swirling around the circumference of the didgeridoo, somewhat like barber pole rings.
  • Gives a particularly rich and deep resounding resonance with outstanding sound energy transmission; I don't have a recording of it.
  • Weighs approximately 5 pounds 6 ounces.
  • Country of Origin: Australia.
  • Age: Début XXéme
  • Exactly as shown in the detailed photos below.
