Purchased in 1980's from a Japanese artist living on the island of Oahu, Hawa'ii. An enlarged macro view of sperm seen through a microscope, swimming in a deep turquoise blue sea. Substantial and heavy fired raku pottery sculpture. Memphis in style, modern and abstract. Sosaku hanga in tone. Created in the traditional Japanese manner using traditional Japanese pottery firing techniques. One of a kind, working whistle sculpture, in fired ceramic clay. Signed by the artist with a tiny letter L on one side of the cloud. Designed in the shape of an ascending airborne airplane, piercing through cumulus clouds. Blow into this whistle, and out comes a sharp, precise, and loud sound much beloved by dogs. Unusual Cast Bronze Egg Signed Sculpture Opens Reveals Fossil Shell Pebble Original signed ovoid cast bronze desk sculpture, cast as two parts. The two halves lift apart; they separate along the equator into two separate parts. Exterior resembles a large flat pebble or ovoid egg, and fits in the palm of an adult's hand. Upon separating the two parts, the interior reveals deep impressions, on both sides, of a fossilized sea shell. MARKED with just a poinçon mark on the exterior; no fabrication mark, no signature, Poinçon mark on the exterior is the letter C followed by a point as the stamped signature mark of the artist.
