  • Thick rich black elk tanned leather & silver turquoise conchos.
  • Hopi patterns are intricately etched on the Buckle, Tip, two (2) Keepers, eight (8) Conchos.
  • The artist is Dee Morris of Arizona, USA
  • Artist stamped on the back of the buckle as shown in the detailed photos below.
  • The Last Best Place catalog carried the artist's work in the 1980's.

The belt details:

  • The belt itself is mad from thick rich black elk tanned leather.
  • One (1) solid sterling silver Buckle intricately etched with Hopi patterns.
  • One (1) solid sterling silver Tip intricately etched with Hopi patterns.
  • Two (2) solid sterling silver Keepers intricately etched with Hopi patterns.
  • Eight (8) large circular Conchos in solid sterling silver, turquoise embedded, intricately etched with Hopi patterns.
  • Hopi patterns are intricately etched on the Buckle, Tip, two (2) Keepers, eight (8) Conchos. SIZE:
    • Overall length measured end to end laid flat, measures approximately 98 cm // 38.5 inches.
    • Each circular concho measures in diameter, as measured across the front, approximately 6,5 cm // 2.5 inches.
    • Weight before packing approximately just shy of one (1) full pound.

    • The Last Best Place, founded in 1993, was run by Lucinda Heekin until bought by The Monterey Bay Clothing Co. in 2001.
    • Dee Morris had an exclusive agreement with the company as his sole source for his belts, jewelry, wearable sculpture.
