    Antique Asian Pillow Opium Den Head Rest Folding Carved Whittled Wooden Wood Legs Fold Portable Antique portable wooden folding pillow head rest used in opium dens. Hand jointed by making slots in the wood. Outer edges are higher than the inner slots, and create an inner container area for the head. These sides are carved with decorations as shown. The legs fold. One of the legs is missing a tiny lower cross brace as shown in the detailed photos. There is one old functional repair made to the other leg with an old iron nail as shown. Except for that one nail, the entire piece is jointed entirely by hand by cutting slots in the wood. Country of Origin: Asia. Age: Fin XIXème. Exactly as shown in the detailed photos below.
