- Dated from August of 1898 to March of 1901.
- Original antique French journal collection, printed on paper, all over 100 years of age.
- All are printed in black and white, on light weight fragile folded newsprint paper.
- Each issue contains approximately 20 pages of illustrations, text, and period advertisements and publicities.
- Published under the direction of Charles Mendel, Journal des Photographes des Amateurs, France.
- Printed in France; text is in French.
- Scarce.
- Of interest to the conservationist, chemist, camera and optics collector,
- scientists specializing in film, negatives, photographic restoration, and media preservation archives.

- These measure overall, folded as shown, approximately 28 cm x 18,5 cm. // 11.15 inches x 7.5 inches.

- They are from the earliest years of photography when the art of photography was in infancy.
- The technical information is scarce and priceless for conservationists involved in this art form.
- There is strong emphasis on chemistry, optics, fabrication, composition, and replication.
- The text includes information on chemical developing and printing formulas,
- on various printing and developing recipe compositions,
- on restoration, preparation of various printing surfaces for printing and engraving,
- including, but not limited to ivory, glass, paper, wood , leather, metal, and stone,
- and detailed maintenance, storage, preservation, and restoration of same.
- The later issues include information on the then-unheard-of development of color in photography.

- By " antique " we mean over 100 years of age.
- By " vintage " we mean between 50 and 100 years of age.
- These are made of matter; these are dated from August of 1898 to March of 1901, and this means they are NOT NEW.
