Photo Brooch Pin Flowers Hearts France XIXème

  • Small round photo brooch pin with a escutcheon of hearts and daisies.
  • Silver plated, over brass and other metal alloys.
  • The cartouche of this little brooch pin frame is in brass with vestiges of silver plating.
  • The back of the brooch is metal.
  • This has a C pin clasp at the back; this does not have a locking pin clasp.
  • This has the original glass.
  • COUNTRY of Origin: France.
  • AGE: XIXéme Napoleon III c1850

SIZE:

  • Holds a small photo or image of maximum diameter approximately 2 cm // 0.75 inch.
  • Exterior diameter as measured across the front, measures approximately 3 cm // 1.3 inches.
  • Weighs approximately 3.71 grams.

 

HOW TO INSERT YOUR OWN IMAGE INTO THIS BROOCH

  • Turn over the brooch so you are looking at the pin side.
  • Lift up the closure pin so you can see the little metal tabs.
  • Carefully lift up the little metal tabs until they are vertical and clear of the metal back plate.
  • The back plate is the metal disk beneath the closure pin and under the tabs.
  • Don't bend the pins more than ninety degrees; you could break them.
  • After lifting the closure pin and then the tabs, remove the metal back plate.
  • Insert your photo into the opening with the front of your photo facing the glass.
  • This allows your photo to appear from the front, under the original glass.
  • Close this the same way you opened this, but reverse these steps.

  • By " antique " we mean over 100 years of age.
  • By " vintage " we mean between 50 and 100 years of age.
  • This item is made of matter and it is OLD; this means it is NOT NEW.
