SHIPPING FRAGILE, OLD, COMPLEX, OR RARE REQUIRES CARE
****
Porcelain, paper, angel's wings.
It takes special care to ship rare, fragile things.
Old things have already traveled a lifetime or two
to places you haven't; they've been tried, and proved true.
They have stories to tell of what they've been through,
which anything new isn't able to do.
Old things can't stay in good repair
shipped too often here or there.
Time in transit is wear and tear.
This ages anything, any time, shipped anywhere.
Shipping by definition is traumatic.
We don't sell things better left stored in our attic.
Moving means bouncing, bumping, freezing, and frying.
Old things find this very trying.
So if this is what you're planning to do,
you're better off buying new.
New things don't notice as much as old things do.
'Caveat Emptor' means 'Buyer Beware'.
Old things aren't new, and may require some care.
If you take them for granted, they won't always be there.
Don't just toss them in the wash with your underwear!
You wouldn't throw your cat or your Grandma in there!
Treat them as kindly as you want them to treat you,
and old things will serve you better and longer than anything new.
