Look how we're going to build a wall
without using any bricks at all:

9 million bottles of Dos Equis beer
will be stacked high after we've emptied them here.

We'll stuff any holes with tortilla chips,
and green glue slime from guacamole dips.

All the empty beer bottles will hold a surprise:
of piñata candy in disguise,
so if any bottles happen to fall,
showers of candy will envelope us all.

See how we're going to build a wall!
It won't cost us any heart, time, or money at all.
The President wants it like that Berlin fence,
140 kilometers, 87 miles, of menacing graffiti defense;

Ich Bin Ein Berliner, Civis Romanus Sum,
Hans Brinker held that dyke together with thumb and chewing gum.

I'm not here to proselytize,
but it's impossible to build a permanent wall of any size.
Sooner or later, it will come down,
whether built in a city or over a town.

Right exchange is what you bargain for,
which you can't do if you've no neighbors next door.

Connect each person one by one,
and we're all interconnected when you're done.

All the billions, one by one, are each connected, every one.,

Making identity 'national'
may be 'fashionable',
but it's no solution, because it's irrational.

Our Earth is the 3rd planet orbiting our sun,
and as for supporting life, it's the only one.
So while you can hide here,
there's no place to run.

The Earth is home
to everyone here;
we need to get past
international fear.

Each of us has the wisdom to know what to do,
because what you see in others is a reflection of you.

And if you don't like what you see,
the problem may be in you, as much as in me.

Try a shave, a bath, and try to agree,
at least just once before getting angry.

So look how we're going to build a wall:
We'll just use the Earth, and that's all!

We won't need bricks, straw, or money, at all.
We'll plug up our hearts and minds on our tiny blue ball
by inventing machines, and let them do it all.

Eventually, the machines will build their own kind of wall;

They won't need us to exist at all.
